Do you have questions?

Not sure how joining the community at DigitalSubstations can benefit you?

Here are the answers to some of the most common questions we hear from users in the field.

The Digital Substations User Task Force has been meeting since 2016, providing end users with the opportunity to hear real-world experience on IEC 61850 projects conducted throughout the world, including the business case aspects, the technical lessons learnt, and the implications to the overall engineering and commissioning processes. The DigitalSubstations.com platform is an extension of the existing Digital Substations User Task Force.
We aim to curate a community of 61850 experts, and facilitate information exchange among like-minded peer groups via the Utility Sponsored Information Sessions. We provide learning opportunities with various global subject matter experts (NERC, PTP, NCITs, Cyber Security, etc.), providing an added insight into the various technical domains. And when things go wrong, we provide a technical interface point between end users, vendors, and the standards development community.
Membership is free, but the community is curated to minimize noise and maximize benefit. Monthly task force meetings around our working groups will continue, with free access to past events. Anyone can attend and we share notes, slides, and audio of past meetings.
